Godrej Enterprises Group has reported a project pipeline of ₹2,600 crore for its Energy Solutions business at the close of FY26, spanning transmission infrastructure, railway electrification, and renewable energy projects. Supported by rising investments in power infrastructure and clean energy, the company expects the business to grow by around 15% by FY27.
The strong pipeline reflects increasing demand for reliable power systems, as India continues to expand its energy capacity and modernize grid infrastructure.
Power infrastructure and data centre demand fuel opportunities
The company thinks that the power infrastructure segment will grow a lot in the next three to five years. This is happening because we need to get rid of renewable energy, build more electrified rail networks, and improve the grid systems we already have so that we can always get electricity.
India’s emergence as a data centre hub is also contributing to increased demand for power infrastructure. Highlighting this trend, Raghavendra Mirji, Business Head – Energy Solutions at Godrej Enterprises Group said, “India is becoming a hub for data centres, with large players setting up gigawatt-scale facilities. These facilities have high power requirements and are increasingly looking to source renewable energy to meet sustainability goals, indirectly driving investments in power infrastructure.”
He further added, “India’s focus on strengthening its power infrastructure and accelerating the transition to cleaner energy sources is creating significant opportunities across the energy ecosystem. Our strong order bank reflects the growing demand for reliable transmission infrastructure, railway electrification and renewable energy solutions.”
Expanding footprint and execution across India
The company is growing in important states like Gujarat and Rajasthan, where renewable energy capacity is growing quickly. It is also making its operations stronger in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, where investments in transmission infrastructure and modernising the grid are rising because of rising industrial and urban demand.
In the past year, Godrej Enterprises Group has finished a number of big projects. For example, they built 25 units of 765 kV AIS and GIS bays in Gujarat and 54 units of 400 kV and below AIS/GIS bays in different parts of the country. The company also built a 220/132 kV AIS substation in Sikkim.
Strengthening renewable and railway electrification portfolio
The company delivered three railway traction substations to the railways segment. These helped to electrify rail networks. It has also added to its renewable energy portfolio with projects like a 6.5 MWp solar panel installation on a roof in Jaipur.
These developments underscore the company’s growing role in supporting India’s energy transition and infrastructure expansion.
