Hoymiles has announced that its string inverter technology has been deployed in a 2.2 MW solar project in Telangana, marking another significant installation for the company in India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy market.
According to the company, the project, located in Asifabad district, Telangana, has been developed under the Indira Mahila Shakti Scheme, a state initiative aimed at promoting women’s empowerment through sustainable livelihood opportunities and decentralized development. The installation underscores the growing role of advanced solar technologies in supporting government-led clean energy programmes.
The solar project has been equipped with Hoymiles HINV350HX-G2 string inverter, which have been designed to deliver high efficiency, reliability and optimized performance under varying site conditions. String inverter technology has increasingly gained prominence in utility-scale and commercial solar installations due to its modular architecture, improved monitoring capabilities and ease of maintenance.
India’s solar sector continues to witness robust growth, driven by ambitious renewable energy targets and supportive policy measures at both the central and state levels. Telangana has emerged as one of the country’s key solar markets, with the state actively promoting solar deployment across utility, commercial and decentralized segments.
Government-backed schemes are also playing an important role in accelerating solar adoption across rural and semi-urban regions. Initiatives such as the Indira Mahila Shakti Scheme not only contribute to clean energy generation but also create new economic opportunities at the grassroots level.
The deployment further highlights the increasing demand for technologically advanced balance-of-system components capable of enhancing overall plant performance and ensuring long-term operational reliability. Modern string inverters are now equipped with advanced monitoring features, high conversion efficiencies and flexible system configurations, making them suitable for a wide range of project applications.
For global solar technology providers such as Hoymiles, India continues to represent a strategic growth market owing to the country’s expanding renewable energy pipeline and strong policy push towards clean energy deployment.
The successful commissioning of the Telangana project is expected to further strengthen Hoymiles’ presence in the Indian solar market while demonstrating the company’s capability to support utility-scale installations under government-supported programmes.
As India moves closer to its long-term renewable energy ambitions, industry stakeholders expect greater deployment of high-efficiency inverter technologies that can improve plant performance, maximize energy yields and support the country’s transition towards a cleaner and more resilient energy ecosystem.
