The India Battery Manufacturing & Supply Chain Summit 2026, scheduled for 5–6 February 2026 in Novotel Convention Centre, Hyderabad

As India accelerates its ambitions across clean energy, electric mobility, and grid-scale energy storage, the focus is increasingly shifting from policy targets to manufacturing readiness, supply chain resilience, and execution capability. Building a competitive battery ecosystem now requires deeper engagement across manufacturing, materials, recycling, and global supply chains.

Against this backdrop, the India Battery Manufacturing & Supply Chain Summit 2026, scheduled for 5–6 February 2026 in Novotel Convention Centre, Hyderabad, Telangana, India will bring together stakeholders from across the battery value chain for focused, execution-oriented industry dialogue.

Event Overview

  • Dates: 5–6 February 2026
  • Venue: Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre, Hyderabad
  • Organisers:
    • India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) under India Battery Manufacturing & Supply Chain Council (IBMSCC) and India Reuse and Recycling Council (IRRC)

Focus on Manufacturing, Materials, and Supply Chain Depth

The summit is positioned as a specialised industry forum addressing the full battery manufacturing ecosystem from upstream materials to downstream recycling and reuse. With growing momentum around Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) manufacturing and localisation, discussions will centre on strengthening domestic capabilities and building scale across the value chain.

Key focus areas include:

  • Advanced cell and pack manufacturing
  • Gigafactory development and scale-up
  • Battery components and manufacturing equipment
  • Emerging battery chemistries beyond conventional lithium-ion systems

Strengthening the Battery Supply Chain and Component Ecosystem

A core theme of the summit will be battery materials and component manufacturing, highlighting the need to deepen domestic production and reduce supply chain vulnerabilities.

Discussions will cover:

  • Anodes, cathodes, electrolytes, binders, separators, and current collectors
  • Manufacturing automation and process innovation
  • Existing gaps in domestic manufacturing
  • Emerging investment opportunities across materials and components
  • Pathways to improve scale, quality, and consistency

Quality, safety, and standardisation will also feature prominently, with dialogue around certification frameworks, alignment with global standards, and ensuring reliability across battery manufacturing and deployment.

Circular Economy, Recycling, and Second-Life Applications

As battery manufacturing expands, recycling, reuse, and circularity are becoming central to long-term sustainability and regulatory compliance. The summit will address evolving end-of-life strategies and market mechanisms supporting circular battery value chains.

Key topics include:

  • Battery recycling technologies and infrastructure
  • Regulatory developments and EPR frameworks
  • Black mass management and material recovery
  • Second-life battery applications
  • Digital traceability, including battery passports and data transparency

Critical Minerals and Global Supply Chain Linkages

Critical minerals and raw material security will form another major pillar of the summit, given their strategic importance to India’s battery ambitions.

Discussions will explore:

  • Domestic and overseas resource development
  • Refining and processing capabilities
  • Global trade dynamics and supply diversification
  • Strategic partnerships and long-term offtake arrangements
  • India’s positioning within global battery and materials supply chains

Bridging Policy Vision and Industry Execution

With multiple national initiatives underway across battery manufacturing, recycling, and critical minerals, the summit aims to bridge policy vision with industry execution.

In addition to technology and investment discussions, focus areas include:

  • Workforce development and skill-building
  • Strengthening research, development, and innovation ecosystems
  • Collaboration between industry, government, and academia

Why Attend

The India Battery Manufacturing & Supply Chain Summit 2026 offers stakeholders an opportunity to move beyond high-level ambition and engage in practical, execution-focused discussions shaping the next phase of India’s battery ecosystem.

Participants will benefit from:

  • Insights into manufacturing scale-up, localisation, and supply chain development
  • Perspectives on emerging technologies, materials, and battery chemistries
  • Updates on recycling, circular economy models, and regulatory evolution
  • Clarity on critical minerals strategy and global supply chain dynamics
  • Engagement with manufacturers, policymakers, technology providers, recyclers, investors, and researchers

With active involvement from the IESA team, including Debmalya Sen, Vinayak Walimbe, Prosanjit Singh, Bindu Madhavi, Sehar Jaferani, Supam Panja and other team members, the summit is expected to offer practical, well-curated discussions, making it a valuable forum for stakeholders across the battery manufacturing and supply chain ecosystem.
