KP Energy Ltd has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) from Enerparc Energy for the development of a 40.8 MW wind-solar hybrid power project in Gujarat. The project will combine 20.2 MW of wind capacity with 20.6 MWp of solar capacity, forming an integrated renewable energy installation.
The contract has been given out as a turnkey project. According to the agreement, KP Energy will do all of the work, which includes providing, installing, and starting up the wind and solar parts. The company will also build the necessary evacuation infrastructure, make it easier for the grid to connect, and get all the necessary government and legal approvals for the project.
Wind-solar hybrid projects are designed to improve power generation efficiency by combining two renewable energy sources at a single site. By integrating wind and solar capacities, such projects help optimise land use and provide a more stable power output profile compared to standalone installations.
KP Energy specialises in wind farm development and wind power project execution. The company is engaged in electricity generation through its wind power assets and also provides operations and maintenance services for wind projects, primarily in India. Over the years, it has built expertise in executing renewable energy infrastructure and supporting grid integration requirements.
Winning this hybrid project gives KP Energy a stronger position in the renewable energy sector and makes it a bigger player in Gujarat’s clean energy scene. The state has been a big part of the growth of renewable energy, especially wind and solar power.
Hybrid power projects are gaining increasing attention in India as the country moves toward higher renewable energy targets. By using both wind and solar power, developers can make the power supply more stable and less variable.
The 40.8 MW project is another step in KP Energy’s plan to keep growing. It will help the company provide integrated renewable energy solutions that support India’s goals for expanding clean energy.
