MahaGenco Invites Bids for 300 MW Solar Project Requiring 1,200 Acres in Maharashtra

Mahagenco Renewable Energy Limited (MREL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MahaGenco), has invited bids for appointing an agency to arrange land leasing, secure grid connectivity and obtain Right of Way (ROW) clearances for a proposed 300 MW solar power project in Maharashtra.

The tender aims to facilitate the development of renewable energy infrastructure across the state, with the selected agency responsible for securing approximately 1,200 acres of land and coordinating the required grid connectivity and transmission line clearances.

Land Leasing and Grid Connectivity Scope

Under Tender No. MREL/2026-27/300MW Land/T06, the selected agency will facilitate the leasing of approximately 1,200 acres for the proposed solar project.

The project will be distributed across three separate land parcels, each measuring 400 acres and accommodating a 100 MW solar power installation.

Apart from land leasing, the agency will coordinate grid connectivity arrangements and secure the necessary transmission line Right of Way clearances to facilitate project development.

Bid Submission and Tender Conditions

Interested agencies can download the tender documents from the official electronic tender portal beginning November 6, 2026. The tender document fee has been fixed at ₹59,000, inclusive of GST.

Prospective bidders must submit their queries and comments regarding the tender requirements by November 30, 2026, at 18:00 hours. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for December 3, 2026, at 11:30 hours to address queries and clarify bidding requirements.

The online techno-commercial and price bids, along with the required Earnest Money Deposit (EMD), must be submitted by December 17, 2026, before 14:00 hours. Physical submission of Envelope-1, containing techno-commercial bid documents, must be completed by December 18, 2026, at 18:00 hours.

MREL will open techno-commercial bids on December 21, 2026, at 11:00 hours. Price bids of technically qualified bidders will be opened on a date communicated individually through email.

The company has reserved the right to cancel or withdraw the tender without assigning any reason. Amendments and updates concerning the bidding process will be published on the official electronic tender portal and MahaGenco website.
