Orxa Energies, a Bengaluru-based EV startup, has formed a strategic alliance with Nunam Technologies, which specializes in battery reuse. This collaboration is an important step toward creating a closed-loop circular ecosystem for batteries in order to reduce waste and maximize environmental effect.
This organization seeks to establish a circular value chain for Orxa batteries. Nunam Technologies will be instrumental in extending the life of Orxa’s flagship electric motorcycle Mantis batteries by providing a second life in the form of renewable energy storage systems. The impact extends to more economical batteries for solar adoption with a low carbon footprint, as well as lowering the Mantis’ Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Both firms are actively working on a battery buyback system for Orxa’s B2B customers as well as Mantis riders, with an emphasis on sustainable practices.

Over the coming months, the Nunam team will collaborate closely with Orxa Energies’ engineering team to identify means of maximising reuse possibilities and minimizing reuse costs. This effort aims to ensure the highest buyback value for Mantis batteries. Subsequently, a customer-oriented plan for buyback programs will be developed for the Mantis community. As a result, Orxa Energies expects more affordable financing schemes for Mantis in the future.
