Premier Energies Bags Rs 4,001 Crore Q2 Orders

Premier Energies Limited has secured new orders worth ₹4,001 crore during the July–September quarter of FY2026–27, covering 2,308 MW of solar cell and module supplies alongside engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project execution. The order inflow comes as the company expands its manufacturing base, with total solar module manufacturing capacity nearly doubling to 11.1 GW and solar cell manufacturing capacity increasing from 3.6 GW to 10.6 GW.

Key Order and Manufacturing Details

  • Q2 FY2026–27 Order Wins: ₹4,001 crore
  • Solar Cell and Module Supply Volume: 2,308 MW
  • Solar Module Manufacturing Capacity: 11.1 GW
  • Solar Cell Manufacturing Capacity: 10.6 GW
  • New Cell Facility: 7 GW N-type TOPCon plant
  • Facility Location: Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh
  • Order Sources: Power producers, module manufacturers, EPC companies and other customers

Order Inflows Cover Supplies and EPC Projects

The company announced the order wins in a regulatory filing dated 9 October 2026. The contracts comprise solar cell and module supplies totalling 2,308 MW, together with EPC project execution. Premier Energies did not disclose a separate value for the supply contracts and EPC component in the announcement. The ₹4,001 crore figure represents the combined order value.

The orders were received from a mix of major power producers, module manufacturers, EPC companies and other customers. The inflow adds to the company’s order pipeline as India continues to expand solar generation capacity and domestic manufacturing.

Commenting on the development, Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director, Premier Energies, said: “Our growing order book is a strong validation of our growth strategy and execution ability. The Indian solar market is extremely demanding with customers looking for scale, bankability and latest technology. As India’s largest integrated solar manufacturer, we are ready to serve needs of customers across market segments.”

7 GW TOPCon Facility Expands Cell Capacity

Premier Energies’ solar cell manufacturing capacity increased from 3.6 GW to 10.6 GW following the commissioning of its 7 GW N-type tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) G12R solar cell manufacturing facility at Naidupeta in September 2026. The facility was developed with an investment of ₹3,293 crore and spans approximately 101 acres. It is designed to produce around 88,000 solar cells per hour.

The new facility has begun trial production, with average cell efficiency targeted at approximately 25.8% after stabilisation and ramp-up. TOPCon technology is increasingly used in high-efficiency solar cells, supporting efforts to improve module performance and power output.

The company’s total solar module manufacturing capacity has also nearly doubled to 11.1 GW. The expanded manufacturing base gives Premier Energies greater production scale across solar cells and modules as it works to execute incoming orders.

Expanding Beyond Solar Manufacturing

Premier Energies is also pursuing backward integration and diversification. Its announced plans include a 10 GW ingot-wafer manufacturing facility and a joint venture with RCT India targeting 12 GWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing capacity. These initiatives would extend its presence across the solar supply chain and into energy storage.

The latest order wins and capacity additions mark another step in the company’s manufacturing expansion. Delivery timelines, production ramp-up and the execution of new contracts will determine how the increased capacity translates into future business performance.
