Saatvik Enters Battery Storage With New Subsidiary

Saatvik Green Energy Limited has expanded its renewable energy portfolio by entering the battery storage sector through the incorporation of a new wholly owned subsidiary focused on energy storage technologies. The company announced that it has established Saatvik Power Storage Solutions Limited, marking a strategic move to strengthen its presence in India’s fast-growing energy storage market.

The newly formed subsidiary was incorporated in India on March 9, 2026, and will operate in the renewable energy sector with a focus on batteries and energy storage systems. According to the company’s regulatory filing, the entity has been set up with an authorized capital of ₹10 lakh, divided into 1,00,000 equity shares with a face value of ₹10 each, with Saatvik Green Energy holding 100 percent ownership through cash consideration.

The move signals Saatvik Green Energy’s intent to diversify beyond its core solar module manufacturing business and establish a stronger foothold in the rapidly evolving battery energy storage ecosystem, which is increasingly becoming a critical component for integrating renewable energy into power grids.

Headquartered in Gurgaon, Haryana, Saatvik Green Energy is a prominent player in India’s renewable energy sector and is primarily engaged in the manufacturing of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules and the execution of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects for solar power installations. The company operates multiple manufacturing facilities in Ambala, Haryana, with a total production capacity of around 3.8 GW of solar modules.

Over the past few years, the company has steadily expanded its renewable energy operations through manufacturing capacity expansion, EPC projects, and solar equipment supply. Saatvik’s solar module portfolio includes high-efficiency technologies such as Mono-PERC and N-TOPCon modules, which are widely used in utility-scale, commercial, and residential solar installations.

The company has also been involved in supplying solar modules for large projects across India and has secured significant supply orders and EPC contracts in the renewable energy sector. With India accelerating its renewable energy targets and focusing on grid reliability, energy storage systems are emerging as a key enabling technology for balancing intermittent power generation from solar and wind resources.

By establishing a dedicated battery storage subsidiary, Saatvik aims to position itself as an integrated clean energy solutions provider, combining solar generation technologies with energy storage systems to enhance grid stability and support the transition toward sustainable power infrastructure.

The expansion into battery energy storage aligns with broader market trends as India moves toward deploying large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to support renewable integration, peak load management, and grid reliability. As renewable energy capacity continues to grow across the country, storage technologies are expected to play a crucial role in ensuring consistent and reliable power supply.

Saatvik’s entry into the battery storage segment therefore represents a strategic step toward participating in one of the most important emerging segments of the renewable energy ecosystem, while strengthening its long-term growth strategy in India’s clean energy market.
