SJVN Ltd. has issued an open tender inviting bids to develop a 250 MW / 500 MWh standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the Panipat Thermal Power Station in Haryana.
In a move aimed at strengthening grid reliability and improving energy-storage readiness in the state, SJVN has launched this tender to support flexible power supply and peak-load management. The project is expected to enhance grid stability as renewable energy penetration increases.
