Two Point O Capital Raises $10 Million in Series A Funding Led by Transition Venture Capital

Two Point O Capital, an Indian clean energy financing startup, has raised $10 million (approximately ₹95 crore) in a Series A funding round led by Transition Venture Capital (TVC). Existing investor Omnivore and angel investors Chiranjeev Singh Saluja and Sudhir M Reddy also participated in the round.

The company plans to use a significant portion of the fresh capital to finance clean energy assets for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. The funding will also support technology development and workforce expansion. The latest investment follows a fundraising round in 2024, when the startup secured more than $6 million through a combination of equity and debt.

Founded in 2024 by Karan Bhutani, Archit Mehrotra, Manya Ranjan and Shashidhar Reddy, Two Point O Capital provides financing, equipment leasing and turnkey clean energy solutions for businesses. Its offerings include rooftop solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), energy efficiency upgrades and wastewater treatment projects.

The startup focuses on distributed energy installations for commercial buildings, factories and industrial facilities, which often face financing challenges despite the potential to reduce energy costs and improve operational efficiency.

Two Point O operates through multiple financing structures, including a wholly owned non-banking financial company (NBFC) subsidiary that handles loan disbursements and a separate operating entity that manages leasing and service-based requirements.

Two Point O has developed a proprietary underwriting engine that evaluates project technical specifications, performance parameters and customer credit profiles. The system enables the company to prepare techno-commercial proposals within 24 to 48 hours.

The startup also uses Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled monitoring systems across its deployed assets. Real-time data supports preventive maintenance, performance monitoring and operational optimisation.

Installation and maintenance activities are undertaken through original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) partners. Two Point O oversees project execution through technology-based monitoring and contractual arrangements.

The company has onboarded approximately 25–30 large customers, including Premier Energies, Godrej, JK Tyre, Morepen Pharma, Wipro and Phoenix Mills.

According to the company, its existing customer base could generate transactions worth ₹400 crore to ₹500 crore over the next two to three years. Two Point O also reported that its assets under management (AUM) increased 1.5 times sequentially in each of the last three quarters.

The startup plans to expand into the small and medium enterprise (SME) segment and increase its geographical presence across India. It is targeting an AUM of $75 million to $100 million over the next couple of years.

The company is also exploring opportunities in sectors such as data centres, automotive, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and healthcare, where distributed clean energy and energy efficiency solutions could support electricity cost management and sustainability requirements.

Two Point O Capital’s latest funding round will support its expansion in distributed clean energy financing, with a focus on increasing asset deployment and extending its solutions to a wider range of commercial and industrial customers.
