V-Green has signed two agreements to expand electric vehicle charging and battery swapping infrastructure in the central Philippines. The partnerships aim to strengthen EV adoption by developing charging networks across key provinces including Bataan and Cavite.
The company has signed two memoranda of understanding (MOU) with the Provincial Government of Bataan and the Philippine fuel company Clean Fuel to develop the EV charging and battery swapping infrastructure across the provinces of Bataan and Cavite.
Under one MOU, V-Green and the Bataan government will collaborate to develop a “province-wide” EV charging network, comprising 600 charging stations and 1,200 battery swapping stations across one city and 11 municipalities in the province of Bataan.
The second agreement with Clean Fuel will look to “explore the development” of EV charging stations at busy fuel stations in the city of Dasmariñas, Cavite. It will look to integrate EV chargers at Clean Fuel’s existing retail network of fuel stations.
V-Green, the agreements will also support the future launch of electric scooters and the expansion of EV infrastructure for VinFast vehicles in the Philippines. Both companies are part of Vingroup, founded by billionaire entrepreneur Pham Nhat Vuong.
