Waaree Energies Bags 739.71 MW Solar Module Supply Order, Strengthens Order Pipeline

Waaree Energies has secured a 739.71 MW solar module supply order from a leading renewable energy solutions provider, further strengthening its project pipeline and reinforcing its position in India’s solar manufacturing sector.

According to a regulatory filing, the company will supply approximately 739.71 MW of solar PV modules during FY 2026-27 and FY 2027-28. While the customer has not been disclosed, the order adds to Waaree’s growing portfolio of domestic and international solar projects.

The latest order comes on the back of a strong financial performance in the first quarter of FY27. Waaree reported a 79.2% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations to ₹7,932 crore, supported by higher production volumes and improved operational efficiency. During the quarter, the company achieved around 3.24 GW of module production, reflecting a 41.51% year-on-year growth.

As of June 2026, Waaree’s overall order book stood at approximately ₹61,500 crore. The company also reported an executed order pipeline of around 6 GWp in its Solar EPC business, with an unexecuted EPC order book worth ₹5,300 crore, including projects under the Advanced Performance Solar Programme (APSP).

Despite the strong domestic momentum, Waaree indicated that new overseas orders have experienced delays due to geopolitical disruptions in the Middle East. During an investor call, Chief Financial Officer Abhishek Pareek said the company had already generated over ₹8,400 crore in revenue from its existing order book.

Chief Executive Officer Jignesh Rathod noted that shipments during the quarter exceeded new order inflows, primarily because several overseas projects were deferred by nearly one quarter. However, he said the company continues to maintain an order book of around ₹53,000 crore, with nearly 65-70% comprising long-term international orders scheduled for execution over the next three to four years.

Waaree is also expanding its global manufacturing footprint. The company currently operates 1.6 GW of solar module manufacturing capacity in the United States, which is expected to increase to 4.2 GW over the next six months. In addition, its retail business, which contributes nearly 20% of total revenue, remains outside the reported order book.

The latest Waaree Energies order highlights continued demand for domestically manufactured solar modules as India accelerates renewable energy deployment while the company continues to expand its manufacturing capacity and international presence.
