Luxury carmaker Audi has revealed to have installed 100+ chargers in over 60 Indian cities.

ChargersThe chargers have been installed at strategic locations including all Audi India dealerships, workshop facilities and select SAVWIPL Group brand dealerships located across highways.

The company has equipped all its authorised dealerships with 22kW chargers, in addition to this, 16 select dealerships also feature 50kW DC fast chargers.

“We have a clear road map towards sustainable mobility and are committed to developing an EV ecosystem. We have successfully installed 100+ chargers across India and we will continue to increase this in the days, months and years forward to ensure ease of ownership for Audi e-tron and other EV owners. The future is electric and Audi India is ready for it,” says Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India.

The company currently retails five electric cars in India – Audi e-tron 50, Audi e-tron 55, Audi e-tron Sportback 55, Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT.

The German luxury carmaker says that with this electric portfolio, it has a proposition for every type of EV customer. Audi claims that it is also easing the transition to electric mobility for its customers by offering several benefits and packages including after-sales, charging and ownership.

Meanwhile Audi India has recently announced a price hike across its model range. All Audi cars have become costlier in the country with an average price hike of up to 2.4%. As per Audi, the ‘rising input and supply chain costs’ are some of the factors responsible for the latest price hike.

“At Audi India, we are committed to operating a sustainable business model. With rising input and supply chain costs, we are required to take a price hike of up to 2.4% across our model range,” said Balbir Singh Dhillion, Head of Audi India.
