BPE Enters UK Market Through Partnership with OPT Services

Best Power Equipments (India) Private Limited (BPE), a Noida-based manufacturer of critical power and energy storage solutions, has entered the UK market through a distribution partnership with OPT Services Limited, expanding its international presence and access to the British market.

Under the partnership, OPT Services will distribute BPE’s uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), Smart Racks and intelligent power distribution units (iPDUs) to data centres, critical-infrastructure operators and industrial customers.

The initial focus will be London and other major UK data-centre clusters, followed by a broader national rollout. OPT Services will lead market development, customer engagement and channel building, while BPE will provide engineering support, application design, product training and marketing support.

Standard products will be held as local stock, while larger UPS, BESS and data-centre projects will be supplied against confirmed orders.

The partnership follows two years of engagement with the UK market through BPE’s participation in Data Centre World London. BPE expects the UK to become an important base for its wider European expansion.
The expansion comes as India–UK engineering trade continues to grow.

The UK is now among India’s top five engineering export markets, with shipments reaching US$4.7 billion in 2025–26 and growing 34.4% year on year during the first two months of 2026–27. Following the India–UK trade agreement, which came into force on 15 July 2026, engineering exports to the UK are expected to exceed US$7.5 billion by 2029–30.

BPE manufactures its systems at its Noida facility in India and has developed substantial experience supporting India’s rapidly expanding digital infrastructure. The agreement is expected to improve market access for qualifying India-made products and facilitate the deployment of technical personnel, subject to applicable rules and requirements.

The UK’s data-centre and energy-storage market presents a growing opportunity. Demand for data-centre space in London is projected to reach 189MW in 2026, compared with 180MW of new supply. As operators increasingly seek resilient on-site power and storage, demand for BPE’s UPS, BESS and integrated data-centre solutions is expected to rise.

The UK Government is targeting 23GW to 27GW of battery capacity by 2030. BPE brings experience developed through India’s own digital-infrastructure expansion, where installed data-centre capacity has grown from 2020 to around 1,575MW. The company has an installed base of more than two million UPS units, operates in over 25 countries and provides critical-power solutions ranging from 650VA to 8MW.

Its portfolio includes lithium-ion systems, Smart Racks, iPDUs, BESS solutions designed as alternatives to diesel generator sets, and integrated data-centre platforms that combine batteries, modular UPS and power distribution into scalable systems.

“Over the past 25 years, BPE has built critical-power infrastructure for some of the most demanding operating environments,” said, Amitansu Satpathy, Founder and Group Managing Director, BPE. “The UK’s accelerating data-centre and energy-storage requirements create a strong opportunity for our India-made solutions. With OPT Services, we will combine local market reach with BPE’s engineering, design and service capability.”

Calum Barker, Managing Director, OPT Services Limited said: “We are pleased to partner with BPE to bring its critical-power and energy-storage portfolio to UK customers. The partnership combines BPE’s proven engineering capability with OPT Services’ local market knowledge and customer support, enabling us to address growing requirements across the data-centre, infrastructure and industrial sectors.”

Best Power Equipments (India) Private Limited (BPE) is an Indian multinational specialising in end-to-end critical-power solutions. Founded in Noida in 2000, BPE serves customers in more than 25 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

Its portfolio includes power-backup solutions from 650VA to 8MW, lithium-ion systems, Smart Racks and intelligent power distribution units. BPE also supplies battery energy storage systems as an alternative to diesel generator sets and integrated data-centre solutions combining lithium-ion batteries, modular UPS, power distribution and BESS into a scalable power platform.
