LONGi has secured its 10th consecutive quarterly inclusion in BloombergNEF’s (BNEF) Tier 1 global energy storage manufacturers list for Q4 2026, reinforcing its position in the energy storage market amid tighter project financing requirements. The latest recognition reflects the company’s track record in project delivery, system integration and commercial execution.
The Q4 2026 assessment introduced stricter financing criteria, requiring qualifying projects to secure non-recourse financing from at least two commercial banks. The revised requirements place greater emphasis on project bankability and commercial viability, adding significance to LONGi’s continued inclusion in the list.
LONGi Strengthens Energy Storage Capabilities Through Integrated Technology
Under its LONGi ONE strategy, the company has developed an integrated 5S technology platform comprising intelligent Control and Coordination System (iCCS), Battery Management System (BMS), Power Conversion System (PCS), Thermal Management System (TMS) and Energy Management System (EMS).
The in-house platform supports system integration and coordinated management across utility-scale energy storage, commercial and industrial (C&I) applications, and microgrid projects.
LONGi combines proprietary technologies with integrated system design to support operational performance and project execution. Its unified responsibility framework and Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA) are designed to provide support throughout the energy storage project lifecycle.
Global Energy Storage Projects Showcase LONGi’s Capabilities
LONGi’s international project portfolio demonstrates the deployment of its energy storage solutions across different power markets and operating environments.
In Australia, the 5 MW/20 MWh Lunio Energy project in South Australia was connected to the grid in September 2026 and entered the National Electricity Market (NEM), enabling participation in electricity market trading.
In Germany, an energy storage project in Stralsund integrated battery storage with an existing solar-thermal plant. The system delivers frequency response in under 50 milliseconds, supporting grid stability and power quality for critical infrastructure.
In Finland, LONGi’s microgrid solution achieved black start in under two minutes, enabling independent power supply in extreme cold conditions. Meanwhile, in coastal Italy, a 50.16 MWh energy storage system integrated with a 35 MWp solar plant incorporates comprehensive anti-corrosion protection and maintains reported system availability exceeding 99% in high-salt and high-humidity conditions.
LONGi Expands Manufacturing and Global Energy Storage Operations
LONGi continues to strengthen its energy storage capabilities through technology development, integrated solutions, global project execution and lifecycle services. The company said the launch of its new smart manufacturing base further enhances its manufacturing and delivery capabilities for international markets.
Going forward, LONGi plans to advance its LONGi ONE strategy by combining full-stack technology innovation, global project experience, smart manufacturing and localized services to deliver energy storage solutions and support the global energy transition.
