REC Limited Appoints Isha Duhan, IAS, as Executive Director

REC Limited has appointed Ms. Isha Duhan, IAS, as its new Executive Director, marking an important addition to the company’s senior leadership team. Her appointment brings extensive administrative experience and public-sector expertise to the organisation and is expected to strengthen REC Limited’s managerial and institutional capabilities. With her background in public administration and governance, Ms. Duhan is set to contribute to the company’s strategic and operational objectives in her new leadership role.

Ms. Duhan is an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) from the Uttar Pradesh cadre and belongs to the 2014 batch. Over the course of her administrative career, she has held several important responsibilities, gaining experience in public administration, governance and sector-specific management.

In terms of her academic qualifications, Ms. Duhan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Thapar University. She subsequently pursued a Master’s degree in Gender Development Studies from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Her academic background reflects an interdisciplinary combination of science and social development, complementing her professional experience in public administration.

Prior to joining REC Limited as Executive Director, Ms. Duhan served as the Managing Director in the Sugar Industries & Cane Development Department. In this role, she was associated with the administration and management of matters related to the sugar industry and cane development sector. The assignment provided her with valuable exposure to policy implementation, departmental administration and the management of sector-specific responsibilities.

Her appointment at REC Limited comes at a time when the company continues to strengthen its leadership and senior management structure. As an Executive Director, Ms. Duhan will bring her experience in government administration, institutional management and public-sector functioning to her new role.

The appointment, effective September 10, 2026, marks a significant addition to REC Limited’s senior leadership team. Her experience as an IAS officer, combined with her educational qualifications and previous administrative responsibilities, is expected to contribute to the company’s management and organisational objectives.

Ms. Duhan’s transition from a senior government administrative role to a leadership position at REC Limited also highlights the growing role of experienced public administrators in the management of major public-sector institutions.
