Saatvik Green Energy Secures Total 1,815 Solar Water Pump Order from MSEDCL

Saatvik Green Energy Limited (Saatvik Green), one of India’s leading renewable energy companies, has announced that it has received an additional order from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana / PM-KUSUM Component-B scheme. With this latest order, the total order size now stands at 1,815 solar water pumps, with an aggregate value of approximately INR 30.24 crore (exclusive of GST).

The contract encompasses the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar pumps at designated farmer locations across Maharashtra. The order includes pumps of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP capacities. As part of the agreement, Saatvik Green Energy will also provide five-year comprehensive system warranty, repair and maintenance services, and a remote monitoring system to ensure reliable long-term performance. Installation and commissioning of all systems are scheduled for completion within 60 days from the issuance of the notice to proceed or work order by the respective circle office.

Commenting on the development, Prashant Mathur, CEO of Saatvik Green Energy, said, “Solar irrigation is one of the most direct ways clean energy can positively impact farmers’ livelihoods. This cumulative order reflects growing confidence in Saatvik’s ability to deliver reliable, domestically manufactured solar solutions at scale, while supporting national initiatives such as PM-KUSUM. Our solutions contribute to sustainable farming practices and enhance energy independence for farmers.”

The announcement follows the company’s recent commissioning of a 2 GW in-house Protective Encapsulant (EPE) film manufacturing facility at its Ambala campus in Haryana. The facility strengthens Saatvik’s vertical integration, enabling greater control over solar module quality, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.

Founded in 2015, Saatvik Green Energy offers end-to-end solar solutions, spanning solar modules, solar inverters, EPE film manufacturing, EPC solutions, and decentralized applications such as solar pumps. The company operates a 4.8 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Ambala and is developing a greenfield integrated facility in Odisha with 4 GW module and 4.8 GW solar cell capacity, reinforcing India’s clean energy transition and rural electrification goals.
