Suzlon Energy Appoints Anjali Byce as Group CHRO

Suzlon Energy has appointed Anjali Byce as its new Group Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), bringing an experienced human resources leader with nearly three decades of cross-sector expertise to the renewable energy company.

Byce brings approximately 27 years of experience spanning manufacturing, automotive, industrial, engineering, technology and financial services. Her appointment comes as Suzlon continues to expand its presence in India’s renewable energy sector and strengthen its organisational capabilities to support its long-term growth plans.

Prior to joining Suzlon Energy, Byce served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Tata Motors. During her tenure, she was involved in managing human resource functions within one of India’s leading automotive companies, gaining extensive experience in organisational transformation, talent management and workforce strategy.

Before Tata Motors, Byce held senior human resources positions at several prominent companies, including Sterlite Technologies, SKF India, Thermax and Cummins. Her professional experience across diverse industries is expected to support Suzlon’s efforts to build a strong talent ecosystem as the renewable energy sector continues to witness rapid growth and transformation.

Byce holds a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Delhi. She also completed a postgraduate diploma with a major in Human Resources from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development. In addition, she has completed executive education at IMD Business School.

Her extensive experience in human resources leadership comes at a time when India’s renewable energy industry is undergoing significant expansion, driven by rising investments in wind and solar power, increasing demand for clean energy and the country’s broader energy transition goals.
