Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited reported a 13.4% year-on-year increase in standalone revenue from operations to ₹3,843.25 crore in the second quarter of FY27, compared with ₹3,388.18 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. However, profit before tax (PBT) before exceptional items declined 11.6% to ₹250.71 crore from ₹283.76 crore in Q2 FY26.
According to the company’s financial results, earnings per share stood at ₹10.29 for the quarter. The company also declared an interim dividend of ₹4.30 per equity share.
Amara Raja attributed its revenue growth to double-digit expansion in the automotive battery aftermarket and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) segments, alongside growth in its Home Energy business. Its New Energy business also recorded increased demand for stationary telecom battery packs, supporting overall performance during the quarter.
Harshavardhana Gourineni, Executive Director – Automotive and Industrial, said domestic revenue growth exceeded 10%, supported by demand from two-wheeler and four-wheeler OEMs and healthy aftermarket volumes. The company’s Industrial UPS business also registered growth of more than 7% during the quarter.
The performance reflects continued demand across automotive and industrial battery applications, with aftermarket sales and OEM supplies contributing to the company’s revenue expansion.
Vikramadithya Gourineni, Executive Director, said the stationary segment led volume growth in the New Energy business. He added that the company’s Giga Factory-1 in Telangana continued to progress according to schedule.
Amara Raja also expects its battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturing plant to become operational in the following month. The facility is expected to strengthen the company’s presence across the energy storage value chain and support its expansion into emerging battery applications.
Jayadev Galla, Chairman and Managing Director, said the lead-acid battery business continued to perform well across segments, while the New Energy business sustained its growth momentum.
The quarterly results highlight Amara Raja’s continued revenue expansion across established battery businesses and emerging energy storage segments, even as profitability faced pressure during the reporting period.
