Bondada Engineering, part of Bondada Group, has proposed an investment of approximately ₹3,000 crore in solar energy and biogas projects in Goa. The proposed investment marks an expansion of the company’s clean energy operations and is expected to generate more than 700 employment opportunities.
The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB) on October 30, 2026, for the proposed projects.
Under the agreement, Goa-IPB will facilitate the required permissions, registrations, statutory approvals and clearances for the development of solar energy and biogas projects. The board will also assist the company in accessing eligible fiscal and non-fiscal incentives under the state’s prevailing policies.
However, the MoU is non-binding, and the proposed investment remains subject to further evaluation, statutory approvals and other regulatory formalities.
Bondada Expands Renewable Energy Investments
The proposed investment in Goa follows Bondada Group’s earlier agreement with the Maharashtra government to invest approximately ₹1,007 crore in renewable energy projects, with a proposed capacity of up to 1 GW.
The company’s expansion reflects its growing presence in renewable energy infrastructure through investments in solar power and alternative energy projects.
Solar and Biogas Projects Planned in Goa
The proposed investment covers solar energy and biogas projects, although Bondada Engineering has not disclosed the planned solar generation capacity, biogas production capacity, project locations or implementation timelines.
The projects are expected to create more than 700 employment opportunities in Goa. Their implementation will depend on regulatory clearances, detailed project planning and other statutory requirements.
The proposed investment is part of Bondada Group’s expansion in India’s clean energy sector, with the company pursuing opportunities across renewable energy infrastructure and alternative energy development.
