Vayona Energy has started producing blades at its Nellore factory in Andhra Pradesh. The most recent announcement comes soon after Vayona Energy and Oyster Renewable Energy Private Limited struck their first agreement in the Indian market. In a press release, the Vayona stated that this development builds on its plans to scale up its wind business in India, expand its manufacturing capacity, and improve operational capabilities at the turbine blades facility to support future growth.
In the previous agreement, Vayona Energy obtained an order to supply Oyster Renewable Energy with a 64.8 MW wind turbine project in the Andhra Pradesh district of Kadapa. This was a significant partnership after Vayona Energy entered the Indian market and acquired the company from Siemens Gamesa.
The Nellore plant is well-positioned to develop into a significant manufacturing center that will help Vayona Energy achieve its expansion goals and further its technological roadmap. With a strong manufacturing presence in India, Vayona Energy will be able to boost supply chain resilience, expedite delivery times, and assist India’s shift to sustainable energy solutions.
Commenting on the expansion, Prashant Jain, Executive Vice Chairman of Vayona Energy, said the new Nellore facility strengthens the company’s manufacturing footprint and reflects its long-term commitment to building world-class, locally integrated capabilities in India.
Pritesh Vinay, Chief Executive Officer of Vayona Energy, added that the Nellore blade plant, along with the Mamandur nacelle facility, marks a major step toward establishing a fully integrated manufacturing base in India for both current and next-generation products. He said the expansion will help build a resilient supply chain, meet rising customer demand with advanced technology, support exports, and deliver speed, quality, and scale.
