Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (Waaree RTL) has secured two Letters of Award (LoAs) from a domestic entity for the execution of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects involving a combined solar capacity of 800 MWac.
According to a regulatory filing, the orders comprise two ground-mounted solar power projects to be developed in India. The first project has a capacity of 400 MWac/530 MWp, while the second project has a capacity of 400 MWac/552 MWp. Together, the two projects represent a cumulative capacity of 800 MWac/1,082 MWp. The projects are scheduled to be completed during the financial year 2027–28, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the awards.
The latest project wins are expected to further strengthen Waaree RTL’s presence in India’s growing renewable energy infrastructure market, as the company continues to expand its portfolio across solar EPC and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects.
As per Waaree RTL’s latest investor presentation, the company has an unexecuted order book of approximately ₹2,700 crore in the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) segment. In addition, its unexecuted EPC order book covering solar and BESS projects stands at around ₹2,600 crore. The company’s growing project pipeline reflects increasing opportunities in India’s renewable energy sector, driven by the country’s focus on expanding solar generation capacity and integrating energy storage solutions into the power system.
Waaree RTL’s existing EPC portfolio includes several large-scale ground-mounted solar projects secured over the past few quarters. These include a 450 MWp project awarded in Q1 FY27, while a 420 MWp project and a 35 MWp project were secured in Q4 FY26.
The company’s project pipeline also includes a 14 MWp ground-mounted solar power project secured in Q4 FY26 and a 217.5 MWp ground-mounted solar project awarded in Q3 FY26. Further, Waaree RTL has added smaller-scale projects to its portfolio, including a 39.8 MWp ground-mounted solar power project secured in Q3 FY26 and a 29.4 MWp project awarded in Q2 FY26.
Beyond solar generation projects, the company is also expanding its activities in the energy storage segment. Waaree RTL has secured a 1,520 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) EPC project, which was awarded in Q1 FY27. The company has also secured a 1,000 MWp ground-mounted solar power project, awarded in Q2 FY26.
The latest 800 MWac solar EPC orders add to Waaree RTL’s expanding portfolio of renewable energy projects and reinforce its focus on large-scale solar infrastructure. With the combination of solar EPC, BESS and T&D projects, the company is positioning itself to participate in the broader development of India’s clean energy ecosystem.
The growth of utility-scale solar projects, coupled with rising demand for battery storage to support grid stability and renewable energy integration, is creating new opportunities for companies operating across the renewable energy value chain. Waaree RTL’s latest project awards come against this backdrop and add significant capacity to its overall EPC portfolio.
